Why Reportage?
"It was always more interesting for me to observe the process from behind the scenes than from the audience — to look not from the direct angle of the viewer.

Only behind the scenes, you can see the beauty of what is happening and the experiences of the people who are behind the creation of something."

Why Portraits?
"Shooting a portrait for me is like preparing a person to go on stage, because we are internally preparing for any action that we are committing, or someone is pushing us towards it. When I communicate with people and make their portrait — I push them to this decision: to open, to remember something, to live something. It's like going on stage. And for me, it is important to feel this process, to live it together with people.

During the shooting, there is an interchange — you always give something to each other. It is important for me to show a person as he is now — at this moment."
